Default Banner

There is a default banner for every size that shows up whenever there is nothing else to show. I'm assuming that means that when your ads reach their view limit or something like that and theres nothing else to show, this is what you see. I just want to know if the default banner counts as a view towards the monthly allowance.

Thank you

    Hi Zachary,

Yes, the default banners will only be shown in the event that no campaign can take the impression.

They do count against your monthly allowance. It is possible that you can replace the default banner with something else and most clients will put in a code from Google AdSense or some other ad network. This can be done if you click on the Settings icon in the AdvertServe tool bar. Then edit each of the sizes that you utilize and you can insert your own Image URL and Redirect URL or insert a code from an ad network in the HTML Code box.

Alternatively, it is possible to turn the default ads off. This can be done by editing your zone(s) and changing the Default Ads option to Disabled. When default ads are disabled the zone will collapse and disappear from the page instead of showing a default banner. Some clients prefer this way because it doesn't count against your monthly allowance.
