Hello,

I would like to know if it is possible to add interstitial ads to my page. An example of what I am looking into trying to add can be found here: http://www.openjaw.com/news.php. In the "Periscope" story on the left by John Frenaye.

Is it possible to create an add similar to this that would go to third party sources like USA Today, etc.? If it's possible, how would we go about updating it? Could we only update it with images, or could we use links?

    Hello Mandi,

Yes, this can be done. We call them overlays in our system and you can run Flash banners, graphic banners or even third-party banners in them. Here's an example of how they look: http://www.advertserve.com/examples/overlay.html

It's actually really easy to create these types of ads. You set the zones/campaigns/media up just like you would for a regular banner running on your web site. The only difference is you have to check some different options in the code wizard when generating the zone code.

We have a tutorial on our blog that explains it all here: http://www.advertserve.com/blog/2013/04/overlay-banners/

    Thanks,
    Mike
